Send Location
Send a map pin, such as your shop or a meeting point, and move straight on to the next step.
What it does#
Send Location sends a map pin with a short label, then the chat moves straight on. It doesn't wait for a reply.
Use it for your clinic, a branch or a pickup point. To ask for the customer's location, use Get Location. You can also send a location as part of a Send Message step.
Set it up#
- 1
Copy the coordinates
In Google Maps, right-click the place and click the two numbers at the top of the menu to copy them, for example
32.0853, 34.7818. The first is the latitude, the second the longitude. - 2
Add Send Location
Drag Send Location onto the canvas, connect the step before into it, and click it.
- 3
Enter the location
Under Location, paste the first number in Latitude, e.g. 32.0853 and the second in Longitude, e.g. 34.7818. Use a dot for decimals. Add a label in Text, for example Blue Clinic, main entrance.
- 4
Connect and test
Connect it to the next step, click Preview and check the pin opens in the right place.
What your customer sees#
On WhatsApp, a map pin with your label that opens in their maps app. On your website, a location card with Open in maps. The next step follows straight away.
Common problems#
| Problem | Why | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| This step isn't ready yet | A connection is missing | Connect a step into it and connect it to the next step |
| Set a valid latitude and longitude. | A number is missing, uses a comma, or is out of range | Latitude is between -90 and 90, longitude between -180 and 180. Use a dot for decimals |
| The pin is in the wrong place, maybe the sea | Latitude and longitude are swapped | Put the first Google Maps number in Latitude |
| A customer's answer can't be used as the location | This step reads fixed numbers or saved data (# variables), not answers (@) | Use fixed coordinates |
